Why these cards were created – my journey up to this point.
I created the Love After Loss Grief Healing Chakra Cards for anyone experiencing grief and loss, and as an easy to access companion to my book: The Baby Dream – Learning to Live with Infertility and Loss.
My book was written to recount my own personal experiences of grief and loss, experiences of not being able to conceive a baby naturally, multiple losses throughout IVF, losing a pregnancy at 23 weeks and my son, River, and ultimately losing my dream of being a mother and trying to accept being childless.
Throughout my grief journey, I gained a greater insight into how difficult and lonely it can be to navigate your new life after loss. I realised how challenging it can be to find support when you are grieving.
Embarking on my healing journey, almost single-handedly, fueled a fire in me to learn how to find healing for myself, and later to support others with their healing.
This led me to change careers and study counselling. I now support others as a professional grief counsellor.
This card deck has been inspired by my professional knowledge, experiences with clients as a counsellor, and my own lived experiences. It is a therapeutic tool that can support people with their healing.

I have created the Love After Loss – Grief Healing Chakra Cards to support you with practical, simple, and heart-felt suggestions on how to nurture yourself during this painful time.
The 56 beautifully illustrated cards by artist Gaye Leanne Date, each have a special message to help you navigate your grief and facilitate your healing.
How to use these cards.
If you are working with these cards on your own, find a quiet place where you can be alone and will not be interrupted for a few moments.
Pause and take a few deep breaths to centre yourself in the moment. Tune into your body and observe how it feels and what it may need right now, and listen to any inner guidance. Then ask the cards for any messages that may be helpful for you at this time.
When a card or cards are chosen, read the healing message on the card and sit with this message in stillness or meditation to see how it relates to you.
Alternatively, you may choose to keep this card close and reflect on it throughout your day, talk about it or journal about it. You can also choose to take a photo of the card, so you can work with it at any time.
Cards can be used in group settings or also to heal, balance and realign your chakras (energy systems in the body). Each card relates to one of the 7 chakras and can be used in healing that particular chakra.

Narelle Hudson is a counsellor, teacher, healer, and author who supports clients with their healing through her private practice.
Narelle specialises in supporting people with their grief and loss journeys, through professional counselling skills, natural healing techniques, public speaking opportunities, and her publications.

Gaye Leanne Date resides in Port Macquarie NSW where she runs a retail gallery and studio space and children’s art classes.
Gaye has run children’s art classes since 2015. Her main inspiration comes from nature, particularly the Australian native flora and fauna, and she favours a realism approach when capturing the unique beauty of each bird, animal, and flower.

How do I get a copy of this card deck?
My card deck with be released around April 2023. Please stay tuned for further updates of where you can purchase your cards as we get closer to this time.
Animal Dreaming publishing will have copies for sale, as will I from my website. Cards will also be available from multiple online platforms which will be announced as we get closer to the release!
